on an expedition into nature to sense and experience a feeling which man has long forgotten.

Our home base is situated in Northern KwaZulu-Natal
KwaZulu-Natal is a province almost trapped in time full of culture and traditions. All our guides are highly experienced nature and cultural guides and know the Zulu culture and the wilderness regions like the back of their hand.
Zululand Explorers specialises in mobile Safaris across Northern KwaZulu-Natal and Southern Mozambique. However, with over 10 years experience in the Safari industry, we will arrange your Safari anywhere in Africa.
Our base camp is situated in SA, but we have also visited Swaziland, Lesotho, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Tanzania, Malawi, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan and Egypt.
KwaZulu-Natal is a hidden safari gem with spectacular biodiversity. It’s also one of the top birding destinations in South Africa with over 500 bird species to be seen in the forests and savannahs. We at Zululand Explorers aim to show our guests as much as possible of nature in order for you to fall in love with the natural world like we did.
Zululand Explorers believe in community upliftment. That is why we source all our food from sustainable sources and local markets as much as possible. We ask our guests to help us in this and shop from local markets and vendors.

At Zululand explorers, we also offer a multi-day trail experience and field guide training. If you are one for something more in-depth, please contact us to hear about our field guide training options endorsed by the Field Guide Association of South-Africa.
Our apprentice field guide course is a two-month learning experience in nature. Your time training will be spent in a natural environment learning from highly experienced nature guides. Skills range from tracking to astronomy and much more.
